SABLEYE FOR GHOST POKEZINE!
I wrestled my way into participating in the lovely Jordan Rosenberg’s Ghost PokeZine project! It’s being funded (successfully!) via Kickstarter, and I couldn’t be happier to be involved. The Pokemon I got was Sableye – which I have to say I had never heard of, but it was tons of fun to make this thing.
And I had the perfect opportunity to experiment with some techniques that’ve been bubbling around in my brain. After drawing the canon Sableye a bunch of times I decided to do a gijinka Sableye.
Sableyes live in caves and eat gemstones, and have gemstones growing from their stomachs and backs. I decided to replace that with a gemstone necklace. I think the hair and glasses speak for themselves!
